Audacious Vision of Colors
Color in prisms through the stained glass window.
Shapes, colors, and scents of flowers in the garden.
Azure blue sea surrounds an island paradise.
Wildlife slink through the green forest almost undetected.
Beautiful sights to behold, it makes me smile.
Yet, someone ruins this by thoughtless remarks of “people of color”.
My heartbreaks; silence is golden.
We all have color, although your skin might be darker.
Prejudice holds no place in the beauty of this planet.
The color of skin is no reflection on a person.
Kindness, empathy, trust, is what matters.
Lay down the hate and enjoy our uniqueness.
Color wouldn’t matter if you couldn’t see.
